The first lessons in Shakespeare were given by our beloved P A Thomas (sir).Any body could teach Shakespeare but it is difficult to recapture the drama, hustle and bustle except by some one who is so obsessed with the words and ideas expressed by the master craftsman. Years later I have read Cicero, Roman history, and Plutarch to feel the history throbbing in the mind.Yes they were real human beings living during the beginning of the Christian times

I felt them through his words, His interpretation of Julius Ceasar,his own encat ment of Ceaser`s death Eu tu Brutus

Calling different takes on loyalty love issues of freedom and love

Later have seen Marlon Brando playing Antony –one o the triumvirates who had seen Cicero murdered.

PA Thomas brought the entire Rome to class room just as Shakespeare would have done it

He has died in Africa years ago but his voice still lingers in my mind in many minds
